Surrounding the CitiPower Collingwood power substation at the corner of Easey and Wellington streets is a large monochromatic mural.  It is by Juddy Roller (a company specialising in street art and graffiti management) and it involved collaboration between street artists including Rone, Adnate, Mayo, Guido Van Helton and Askew.

around Brunswick station

Brunswick station is on the Metro rail line, about a twenty minute ride north of Melbourne station.  This post represents some of the street art that I saw when I walked around the vicinity of the station.  The Upfield bike path runs parallel to the train tracks in this area.

East LA street art

As I was driving north on the I-5 in Los Angeles, I spotted some street art on a side street. I made a detour to take a closer look. There was more graffiti, street art, and interesting things in general in this area of East LA (around Whittier Blvd and East Olympic Blvd) that maybe one day I will get back to.

Las Vegas, Nevada

Two large murals dominate the corner of East Ogden Ave and an alley that runs between North 7th and North 8th streets. Covering the corner of large parking garage on the north side of that corner is a very large man painted in 2014 by Spanish artist Borondo. It was painted as part of Las Vegas’s Life is Beautiful art and music festival.

Across the alley is a mural by Finton Magee also painted as part of the 2014 Life is Beautiful festival.

At first glance, Magee’s mural seems to be a beach theme but then you notice the cabbages and the rabbits. She’s not lying on sand either. More cabbages and rabbits are on the other corner of the same building. And what might have been sand looks a lot like fabric. A rifle leans against the building.

Wall/Therapy

Wall Therapy is now an annual event in Rochester New York. It started in 2012 with 11 street artists painting 16 different walls in the city. From their website, Wall Therapy is “a public community-level intervention using mural art as a vehicle to address our collective need for inspiration.” The Wall Therapy website also has a map of the locations of the murals. They are spread around the city. It is possible that some of these murals are not actually a part of the Wall Therapy project.

below: The next four murals were on the side of the same building. I am fairly sure that it was at the end of Flint Street. It is definitely on the west side of the Genessee River by a street that dead ends at the Genessee Riverway Trail.

below: I haven’t been able to find any information yet about the next two murals either. They were both on South Ave. Liquor Store, to the south of most of the other murals that I saw. By the way, it was a nice little store with an interesting selection of wine.
